Dr. Michael Hart was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland. From early on, Mike participated in numerous athletic activities, including competitive ice hockey. At the age of 14 he was introduced to weight training and quickly developed a passion for both the sport as well as promoting an active and healthy lifestyle to help people take control of their health and well-being.
In September of 2002, Mike began studying nutritional biochemistry at Memorial University where he completed his degree in 2006. After completing his undergraduate degree Mike obtained his medical degree at Saba School of Medicine in the Netherlands Antilles from 2006-2010. In 2010, Mike began his family medicine residency at the University of Western Ontario Schulich School of Medicine, completing the program in 2012.
In addition to his rigorous academic training, Mike has persistently sought for the latest break-throughs in nutrition and fitness literature, to subsequently apply it in practice. Mike strives to become the fittest and healthiest version of himself constantly and believes that through this passion he can share his enthusiasm with his patients and educate them on self-care and well-being.
Dr. Hart believes that everyone has the ability to create an extraordinary life for themselves. Dr. Hart is consistently reading the latest psychology in order to provide the best mental health care for this patients.
When he is not in the clinic, you can find him lifting weights at the gym or kickboxing.
